Why "Absolute Elsewhere"?
The name is taken from the lyrics of 'Mind Games' by John Lennon.
"So keep on playing those mind games together
Faith in the future out of the now
You just can't beat on those mind guerrillas
Absolute elsewhere in the stones of your mind
Yeah we're playing those mind games forever
Projecting our images in space and in time.."
The lyrics advocate unity, love, and a positive outlook. The song was recorded as Lennon split with her for his 18-month "lost weekend" with May Pang.
So - because we are in Absolute Elsewhere (compared to London) we're all for unity, love and peace - and the cottages are ideal for your 'lost weekend'...
Can I Bring My Dog?
Yes. Dogs are welcome (although only one per cottage please). We have Scout the Labrador and next door have Jack the Whippet - both of whom you will probably meet. There are enclosed gardens for both cottages and many nearby footpaths for walks. A lead is a good idea beyond the garden as there are sheep and horses in various nearby fields.
Are the Cottages Child Friendly?
Yes. Absolute has two double beds, Elsewhere can be made up as either one double and one large double or one double and two singles - the latter ideal for children. The village is very safe - there are plenty of animals to see and even a 1955 Ferguson tractor is in the shed for those that are interested....
